Bike Ed becomes a focus for children in Grade 4. It is an important program as there are many children who ride their bike to school and many more who ride their bikes at home and on the weekends. There are many staff involved who are very experienced in teaching Bike Ed. The school has a comprehensive program which works through many skills. The children are also taught the basics of what a well maintained bike looks like, and also how to check for roadworthiness in a bike. Near the end of the program, the children are involved in some supervised road riding activities in the local area.

In the Senior Sub School students are involved in riding their bikes on some excursions, typically to be involved in beach activities and also to visit McCrae Homestead.
